National park "Alkhanay" was created by the governmental order ¹533 from
May 15, 1999. It is located in Aginsky Buryatsky independent District and occupies the
area of 138234 hectares, from which 109637 hectares grounds of wood fund is given to
national park in constant usage, and 28597 hectares of grounds to other landusers, are
included in structure of national park without withdrawal from economic operation.
